Great Responses to Compassionate Living!
Shortly after I uploaded my "Compassionate Living" post, I received some fantastic emails from fellow vegetarians and animal advocates. I have to say how touched I am at the warm feelings I received from this close-knit community of non-animal eating people. When people you don't even know want to tell you their story and what they do to help animals, it's truly moving! And, that passion, the one that makes you so excited about doing good for our speechless friends, I feel that, too. It's a connection between people I suppose you can't explain.
One email I received was from the owner of a company called Salt Lamp Creations. She is a vegetarian, and all of her employees are as well! I took a look at her site and loved what I saw. You can check it out here- Salt Lamp Creations. If you're still looking for a unique Christmas gift to give someone, this is a great idea, and you'll know the people selling this product are kind to animals! What can be better than that? (Please note I am not getting anything for this plug, I just liked that everyone working for the company is vegetarian....and those tea light holders are pretty cool.)
If you're thinking about becoming a vegetarian, or just want to know more about where to get great information, drop me a line. I have found some amazing podcasts and sites that have really helped me embrace this change in my life. Thanks, Michelle, for paying it forward :)
