HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICK!!!
Today is Nick's 24th Birthday, and oh what a great day it will be! He only has one class today, and no work, so he will get the marjority of daylight to play with his new toy Pete, Mickey, Chili and I got him- a home theatre system. It's only 9:30 a.m. and I think he has already read the manual front to back.
I must say that my favorite part of my birthday is getting to hear my grandparents sing Happy Birthday to me over the phone. They have done this every year for as long as I can remember. Last year they left it on my voice mail. I saved it for as long as the voice mail would let me and listened to it over and over again. It's one of those things that make you realize how blessed you are to be loved so greatly by such wonderful people. Today, I was fortunate enough to listen in on Nick's birthday song.
Tonight I am taking him out to a surprise restaurant for dinner. (Hahaha! I know, you thought i was going to give it away that easy, did ya?)
Saturday night we went out to celebrate with two of our friends, Tom and Michelle. We had dinner and drinks at Boogaloo (the bar has swings instead of stools), and then we bar hopped in Soulard. I would post some picutures of our fun adventures for you, but the pics are stuck on my piece-of-junk laptop at home. Our Internet is not working, for like the 20th time in the past year.
Life after a Masters is great! I'm still getting into the swing of things, but have already attended more social events in the last month that I did in the last eighteen.
Until I can get more hold-on-to-your-seats exciting news posted, go ahead and check out some of our pictures at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/16939354@N00/
Keep it real-
Erika
