Falling Behind
I have so many new pictures of Chaz to post. So many cute ones of him snuggling with Chili. When will I get around to it....hmmmm....maybe soon. Our days have just been filled with constant movement. Dooce, a blog I read written by Heather Armstrong, just annouced they too are in the process of moving. The upside they have to us is they actually already found a house. Heather described the process as like trying to juggle a set of steak knives. I can't really find a better way to describe it. Between work, N*** inter******* for new ****, house hunting for our first home, cleaning up my mom's house, taking care of a new puppy as well as the other dog and two cats we have, trying to attend family functions, finding time to go to the gym and care for our health, puppy classes, pretending we do have time to see friends, and what am I forgetting.....oh yeah, eating and, what's the word again....sleep...yes, sleeping; between all of that, steak knives sound about right.
My master plan was to be in a new houses before Nick's graduation on May 19 so we could have the big party for him at our new place. It being the end of March makes me nervous we may not make that goal. But, we will keep trying. We found an amazing house we both love. It's in a "developing" neighborhood and has no garage. We're going through the motions of trying to decide if we can live with pulling our cars into a privacy fenced yard (which we'll have to finish) until we are able to build a garage. Any one have $10K they want to loan me? We are going to see a few others this coming weekend that just came on the market. Maybe one of them will be just as amazing to us, but with the luck we've had, I doubt it. I am totally appalled by the conditions of 95% of the homes we've seen. I cannot believe there are people out there willing to live in actual dumps and make mortgage payments on them. Amazing.
I will try to get those new pictures of Chaz and company posted tonight, but no promises. Last Thursday he weighed 31 lbs. Yesterday he weighed 33.6. I'm not going to be able to pick him up much longer!
